Services

I provide individual therapy services focused on adults aged 35+.
I offer a limited number of virtual and in person sessions each week.

Mental Health Sessions

Mental health sessions focused on growth. Together, we strengthen mindset, build healthy coping skills, and support meaningful personal development. These sessions are designed for individuals seeking perspective, encouragement, and tools to navigate everyday challenges.

Available as 50- minute ongoing sessions.

*Please see below for mental health concerns that are not a good fit for my practice at this time.

Accountability & Change

A psychology-informed approach to habit formation that removes self-criticism from the process. Together, we identify the behaviours you’d like to shift and create steady, supportive accountability so that wellness behaviours become a sustainable part of your life.

Available as 30-minute ongoing sessions.

Meet & Greet

I offer virtual meet and greet appointments for prospective new clients. The Meet & Greet is an opportunity for us to discuss your needs, answer questions, and determine whether my services are an appropriate fit. Participating in a consultation does not establish a psychologist–client relationship and does not obligate either party to continue with services.

Available as a 20-minute conversation.

To book: click ‘View and Book appointments’ to access Jane software and select ‘Meet & Greet’ to view availability.

Services are offered according to the established scope and standards of practice for Psychologists in BC.
All services include an assessment for treatment to ensure an appropriate fit.

I use Jane practice software for appointment bookings, billing, and hosting virtual appointments.

In person sessions are offered Friday late afternoons. Office located in Cordova Bay.

Presenting issues that are not the focus of my practice:

  • I do not offer services focused on: substance use, behavioural addiction (e.g., gambling, video games), PTSD, complex PTSD, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis, or post-partum mental health concerns.

  • I do not provide services through ICBC claims, Worksafe BC claims, or therapy provided as part of Return to Work plans, Short-term disability, or Long-term disability leaves.

  • I am employed in a Leadership Consultant role at Island Health. To prevent potential conflicts of interest and dual relationships from arising, I do not see employees of Island Health in my clinical practice.

Common Questions

  • Psychological services may be covered through your extended health benefits. Coverage can vary depending on your specific plan and provider, so I recommend confirming the details directly with your benefits provider before booking. Please note that it is the client’s responsibility to verify coverage and submit claims, if applicable.

  • Fees for psychological services are:

    • No charge Meet & Greet for potential new clients (20 min);

    • $250 for initial 50-minute session;

    • $240 per 50-minute follow up session;

    • $125 per 30-minute Accountability & Change session;

    My fees are in accordance with the fee guideline offered by the BC Psychological Association.

  • Your session time is set aside just for you.

    • Cancellations with 48+ hours’ notice are free of charge;

    • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time are billed at 50% of the fee.

    • Missed or ‘No show’ appointments are billed at the full session fee.

    Cancellation fees may be waived at the clinician’s discretion in exceptional client circumstances.

  • There is no minimum or maximum number of sessions in my practice. Services are tailored to each client’s goals and needs. In line with professional standards, services may be concluded if client goals have been met, if it is determined that the services are no longer beneficial, or if ongoing sessions are not in the client’s best interest. Any decision to terminate services will always be discussed collaboratively and respectfully.

  • I offer primarily virtual sessions with a limited number of in person appointments on Friday afternoons. My office is located in Cordova Bay.

    I recommend any new client begin with a meet & greet or virtual appointment. We can then discuss in person appointments if this is your preference.

  • As registered health care providers, Psychologists are bound to privacy and confidentiality regulations and laws. There are some legal limitations to privacy and confidentiality. These limitations are reviewed during the initial appointment.

    I maintain records in a manner that is consistent with the regulations and laws governing the practice of Psychology. These practices are detailed in my Information Consent Form and I will be happy to answer any questions you have about my practices.

    • I do not use AI for clinical decision-making, assessment, or treatment planning.

    • I do not use AI during sessions. There will not be any AI ‘listening in’ or recording any aspect of our sessions.

    • Occasionally, I may use a secure, privacy-compliant AI Scribe (see below) to streamline my record keeping. I do this by enabling AI Scribe as I dictate my note after the session. I then review the note for accuracy.

    • I exclusively use the AI Scribe integrated into Jane practice software. Jane is a privacy compliant practice software service founded in North Vancouver, BC. You can review Jane’s AI Principles and general security FAQs .

    • Most important: AI is not used in any capacity if a client does not provide express and informed consent. In this case, all documentation is completed without the use of AI. Also note you are free to withdraw consent for my use of AI Scribe at any time.

    • The information above is contained in my Information Consent Form shared with clients before their first appointment. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

  • I am licensed to practice psychology in British Columbia.

    In accordance with regulatory requirements, I can only provide service to clients who are physically located in British Columbia at the time of their session.
